Description
FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
happens for various 1.5.0 jdks plus 1.6.0 up to b53 (current latest).

ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
SunOS helium 5.10 Generic i86pc i386 i86pc

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
following the instructions here:

http://developer.sun.com/techtopics/global/products_platforms/jds/reference/faqs/input-mode-window.html

frees native applications' windows of the ugly and useless (to me) input mode status window, but not Java applications.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
run Applications > Accessories > Dictionary.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
no annoying "[ English/European ]" window.
ACTUAL -
an annoying "[ English/European ]" window.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
It doesn't occur with windows that don't get text input focus. But it's hard to see how to make any practical use of that!
