Description
FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-b64)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0-b64, mixed mode)

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The default theme in GNOME 2.8 is based off of the "Smooth" engine. GTK Look and Feel does not support this engine, so Java applications running on a default GNOME 2.8 installation do not look native.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

Comments
EVALUATION Now that we render natively this should not be a problem.

EVALUATION Yes, the new theme in Gnome 2.8 is not currently supported by Java Gtk. We are actively working on Gtk native rendering so this will not be an issue with engines in the future. ###@###.### 2004-12-07 01:58:34 GMT
