EVALUATION For the users who request Chinese documentation, could you please comment on which types of docs would help you the greatest if we localize them into Chinese [general info, api spec, language spec, guide to features (internationalization, other topics), tool docs, demos/tutorials, relnotes, api doc] . We appreciate your comments. ###@###.### 2004-12-16 02:14:29 GMT We would like to begin to provide *partial* Chinese documents in future J2SE 5.0 update and J2SE 6.0 releases. We cannot translate everything due to the huge word count and high cost of translation and testing. ###@###.### 2005-03-07 22:57:26 GMT After various studies and polls, we have decided to localized api doc for S.Chinese for J2SE 5.0 and 6.0 releases. We are also looking into the possibility of open source project to work with the community to localize more documents into more languages if there is enough interest. ###@###.### 2005-06-01 21:12:05 GMT

PUBLIC COMMENTS Thanks for the comments and support. Currently, we only localize documents into Japanese due to business requirement. We will strongly consider localizing the doc into Chinese in the next release. thx! ###@###.### 2004-01-28
